Social Networks, Why?

After browsing the internet lookinc for something to do I started to see the incredibly high amount of people on social networking sites (and how many individual social networking sites there actually are). I don't see their "curb appeal" all they do is connect people with long distance relationships, which can make you neglect a person you are sitting next to.

A few social networking sites are fine, but just about all internet based companies have them (Microsoft's LiveSpaces, MySpace, FaceBook, Tagged, etc.). There are many starting up each day. Some even are calling themselves mobile social networks, as if the phones they were made for aren't enough of a "social networking" device already.

Don't get me wrong I know social networks are great, but isn't it about time we move forward in the world of "Web 2.0"?

JW Convention

We just got back from Toledo, Ohio where we stayed for two of the three days. We missed the first day because of my Great-Grandmother's declining health issues. She had more than 14 pounds of fluid by her lungs. She just got out of the hospital yesterday and said "I haven't felt this good in years" (she may or may not have been on "pain killers"). I just hope she is OK. I haven't seen her since Thursday.

Yahoogle

I was trying to think who I would like to own Yahoo! if they were going to sell themselves. I came up with Google it sounds better than Micro-hoo, it would be Yahoogle which has a much better ring to it. I just would not want Microsoft to buy them. MSN is one of my least favorite email accounts. I would never recommend MSN to anyone, unless they had an Xbox Live account in which case you would have to have an MSN account. I would recommend a Gmail account though since they offer you so many more services than MSN.

Google if you are listening please buy YAHOO! before Microsoft tries to "improve" it. Since you are still listening Google I have a few more questions for you, when are you going to make the "Google Operating System". Why are you making us say goodbye to Hello. What is coming next in your Google Labs.

6 Days ToGo

We are going to Florida in 6 Days. I probably should be packing up but instead I'm procrastinating like I usually do. I can't wait to go, yet I'm not ready to go. We have 10 Day Park Hoppers to Disney and will be enjoying every ounce of Disney that we can.

Recycled Tomato Green Houses

It's time again to start your tomatoes, so the other day I thought I would reuse the cake thing I got from Wal-Mart. It also saved me some money from buying a small green house (and I got a cake with it). So after a week I found out that these "green houses" produce 1) Really nice seed starters, and 2) lots o' mold. Don't let this stop you from trying it out though. I fit about seven small peat pots in one box.

I found this stops your cat from tipping over all the plants, so I decided to invest in another cake. So while I eat my cake I will show you what I did. First go out and buy your cake. I like rocky road so that's what I got (you can also just get a roasted chicken that comes in a similar plastic box.

Then fill up the peat pots with the dirt and seeds. Water the plants and put them in the box you selected. Wait about a week and you'll find some little sprouts as seen below. It will have some water droplets on top and it may smell when you open it so don't try smelling it right away. Now your done (well until it is time to plant them in the ground).

Exams are Over!

It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I took 3 exams today and they were surprisingly easy. I found I got a B+ on my history exam so I was happy about that. I get new teachers on Tuesday since there is no school on Monday for students because it is Professional Development Day.

Exams

I just took my History and Art exams today and I believe I did good on both about maybe a B on both (hopefully). But the big test is tomorrow when I have three exams.

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

Hello, I just was thinking today that this is the only day that can double as a command (March Fourth = March Forth). It is also exam week so I have Art and History exams on Thursday, and Algebra II, Chemistry, and Spanish II on Friday. I am very nervous about Friday because we have no exam waivers anymore but if we did I would use it for Algebra II.
