Mmm... Vernors

I never thought I liked the "Original Ginger Soda", but today I thought I'd try it. It's is a lot better than I thought it would be, but I'm still going to stick to my Coke. Speaking of Coca-cola products I would have to say that the Beverly definitely takes the cake (or makes it come back up). (Beverly is a non-alcoholic apéritif made by the Coca-Cola Company and sold in Italy.)

The Penny Roll

Over the past few days I have been putting pennies in between the windows of the bus. They will roll around for a while, then when we close the window they drop down from the window.
First what we do is open the window, then we insert the penny or any other coin we have into the two panes of glass. The penny will fall on the ledge on the outside of the bus once the window is raised.

First Day (After)

My schedule is-

Spanish II A

Short Stories

Software Apps

Language Arts 10 A

U.S. History/ Geography

I’ve never had any of these teachers except for my Spanish teacher. My first day of school was full of Rules. Every teacher had “there” rules on top of the School rules.

First Day (Before)

This is our first day of school and it is terrible. I hate the first day of school. Usually it isn’t as bad as it seems but it means the end of summer. The good thing about school is that I go in an hour before my sister and get out an hour earlier.

Labor Day

This is about the most depressing day of the year (other than the day we come back from Florida). It means the summer is over and we have to go back to school. We don’t have anything to look forward to today, you don’t even get mail. Our overflowing garbage bin will also sit there for another day.

Garden 8/27/07

Here are some pictures of our garden today 8/27/06. We picked about 11.9 ounces, or 341 grams of Cherry Tomatoes, and about 9.4 ounces or 266 grams of Regular Tomato. Some jalopeno peppers are getting big and the bell peppers are growing slow but steady.

Lydia's Princess Outfit

Teresa stayed up to 4:30 a.m. making this outfit. I think it turned out really good. Grandpa thought she had bought this at a store. When she explained to him him she made the pattern and everything he was quite impressed. Lydia had a lot of fun twirling for the camera.

Binder Park Zoo

We went to the zoo on Friday. The first place we went to was the Snow Leopards. Once we were done with the Snow Leopards we went to see the Cheetahs, there was supposted to be a zoo keeper there but when she came to talk no one could hear her. So we went to the wild horses. They only had one which was surprising because before they had several. Once we were done with the "wild horse" that was trained to get it's food we went t0 the monkeys. After we saw the butt scratching monkeys we went to the Emu. The train was the next place we went.

After that we went to Wild Africa. Once there we went into the gift shop. We then made our way to the food. Mountain Dew has a very different taste in Africa. Once we were done with that we went on the trail to see the giraffes and other animals. The birds were very neat. There was a trail to the Monkeys but on the way there was a few challenges to see what you were such as a ranger or tourist. During this test Tessa tried to attract butterflies. After you leave the monkeys there are some "Potted Trees".

You then go through a village which looks deserted. When you get past this we headed right back to were we arrived. We went to the food place again and got some popcorn. We then headed back to the petting zoo. I took a picture of one of the "animals" about to bite my finger. Arminda then broke her crocs so we had to fix it. While we were fixing it she just had to sit in the stroller. We then left the zoo and went into the gift shop. Arminda got a little giraffe, she claims it said it was $2.50 but it was really $4.00.
